Take an Aesop’s fable and re-create the story in Adobe Photoshop. From the story, take three scenes and create a digital Photoshop composition. Once compositions are completed in Adobe Photoshop, create three storybook pages for a mockup of the story in real life.
The three areas of the story that were recreated were “The Poor Man”, “The Golden Egg” and “The Death of The Goose”. After sketching a starting scene, the hunt to find corresponding images to use for the compositions began. Using Photoshop; the Quick Selection Tool made it simple to clip out specific parts from the stock images. By adding the adjustments panel to blend color modes, brightness, contrast, and other elements to transform these images brought the composite all together. Once the composition was completed, it was time to create the pages for the fable compositions. Using Adobe Indesign, the book pages were laid out along with a revised body copy of the story with a creative twist.
